Subject-Verb Agreement Worksheet — Do or Does?

Good grammar is essential in both speaking and writing, but for some students, it’s not an easy skill to grasp. This worksheet will help your students master the use of the verbs do and does. This printable and editable resource includes instructions, eight fill-in-the-blank questions, and space to write sentences of their own.

This worksheet focuses only on the usage of do and does in composition. Students are directed to complete sentences using each verb correctly. Students will also be given the opportunity to extend their practice by writing a short written response.

An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!

Because this resource includes an answer sheet, we recommend you print one copy of the entire file. Then, make photocopies of the blank worksheet for students to complete.

Turn this teaching resource into a sustainable activity by printing on cardstock and slipping it into a dry-erase sleeve. Students can record their answers with a whiteboard marker, then erase and reuse them.

Additionally, project the worksheet onto a screen and work through it as a class by having students record their answers in their notebooks.
